Meclozine
Bonine or Dramamine Less Drowsy in the US (called "meclizine")
The international (INN) name. Pharmacists everywhere recognize it, even when the local brand differs (e.g. Bonine, Agyrax, Bonadoxina).
Sold for: nausea and motion sickness.
Also sold as Dramamine Less Drowsy. Original Dramamine is a different medicine (dimenhydrinate).
Sold for motion sickness without a prescription. Hyoscine (Kwells) and cinnarizine (Stugeron) are the more common choices.
Bonadoxina also contains vitamin B6. Needs a prescription. Many pharmacies have a doctor’s office next door that can examine you and prescribe on the spot for a small fee.
Found in some OTC motion-sickness (酔い止め) tablets alongside other ingredients.
For motion sickness, Italian pharmacies use dimenhydrinate (Xamamina, Travelgum) instead.
