Mobic in the US
The international (INN) name. Pharmacists everywhere recognize it, even when the local brand differs (e.g. Mobec, Mobic, Movalis).
The Mobic brand appears to have been discontinued. The UK electronic Medicines Compendium now lists only generic meloxicam.
Still sold by Boehringer Ingelheim in Germany. In the UK the equivalent Mobic brand appears to be discontinued.
The Mobic brand is no longer registered in Mexico. Needs a prescription. Many pharmacies have a doctor’s office next door that can examine you and prescribe on the spot for a small fee.
Sold by Boehringer Ingelheim Japan since January 2005.
Mobic was discontinued in Turkey, according to the Turkish Pharmacists’ Association (stock cleared by May 15, 2008). Melcam and Melox are the current meloxicam brands.
