Antidepressant (commonly used off-label for sleep) · ATC N06AX05
Trazodone
The international (INN) name. Pharmacists everywhere recognize it, even when the local brand differs (e.g. Sideril, Reslin, Triticum).
The Thombran brand appears to have been discontinued. The Gelbe Liste, a German drug directory, now lists only generic trazodone.
No trazodone product is registered in France. A French doctor would prescribe a different medicine instead; bring enough for the trip and your prescription.
Sideril is the trazodone brand sold in Mexico. Trittico was not found there.
Prescribed as an antidepressant (SARI class) but, as elsewhere, increasingly used off-label for its sedative effect as a sleep aid.
Registered with INFARMED and made by Angelini Pharma and Tecnifar. Both extended-release versions had a supply shortage reported through September 2026, so check current stock.
